There are 10 lanes. Each can accommodate both handguns and rifles that shoot less than .50 caliber BMG.

7) Can I get a membership?

Yes, we offer individual and family memberships, as well as corporate and monthly memberships. Click on the Membership tab to get additional information.

8) I have been convicted of a felony. Can I use the range?

No. It is unlawful for any convicted felon to have any firearm in his or her possession or to carry a concealed weapon unless his civil rights have been restored.

9) I am not a permanent resident of Florida. Can I use the range?

Yes. You can use the range as long as you provide proper identification.

10) What are firearm transportation rules for when I bring my gun to the range?

It is often a felony to travel with a loaded gun in Florida, unless you are carrying a concealed handgun with a Florida-issued CCW. It is generally a felony to travel with a loaded shotgun or rifle in your vehicle. There are obvious exceptions for law enforcement officers, but if you suspect it might be illegal, it probably is.

Technically, any lawful citizens 18 years of age or older can carry a gun as long as it is kept safely in their vehicle. Safe transportation means that the gun and the ammunition are kept separate from one another. Florida Department of Highway Safety says, “Florida law gives citizens the right to possess and transport a firearm or other weapon for self-defense or other lawful purpose without a license if securely encased within the vehicle.” During a traffic stop, motorists are advised to tell the law enforcement officer ahead of time that there is a gun in the vehicle.

“Securely encased” means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case; or in a closed box or container that requires a lid or cover to be opened for access.

11) I am not a range member. Can I still come to the range and shoot?

Yes. Our range is open to the general public.

12) Can I rent a gun at the range?

Yes. It is very easy if you are a member. If you cannot legally own a gun in Florida, you cannot rent one at the range. If you are not a member, you must produce proper ID and demonstrate firearm handling skills.

13) What kind of gun can I rent?

We are adding additional firearms to our rental stock monthly. Right now, you have your choice of a considerable number of popular handgun calibers and models.

14) Can I get firearms training at the range?

Absolutely. Training is highly recommended. We offer introductory safety and marksmanship skills training, intermediate training, and advanced firearms training for civilians on all types of firearms. Our instructors are experienced, certified, and easy to work with. Even if you are a longtime shooter, you might be surprised at the things you may never have heard or thought of in terms of proper shooting technique or gun safety. Taking a class is a great way to move past being a competent shooter to become a great marksman.

If you use a gun for home defense or plan to in the future, you need to know the laws that apply to you in Florida, and how to use the firearm as the last resort in a comprehensive home security strategy. We can answer your questions on these issues.
